Ages 3 and 4

Beginner Tap (shuffle step, toe and heel step), Beginner Ballet….students given tutus to wear (first position, plies, jumping, chassee in a circle, basic arm movements), Beginner Acrobatic (front roll, push-up stretch, frog or mini headstand)

Ages 5 and 6

Tap (toe-heel, hop shuffle step, slap, slap ball change), Ballet (basic turns i.e. pique, chainnee, fourth and fifth position feet and arms), Jazz (chassee ball change, 3-step walk), Acrobatic (handstand, back roll)
*Hip Hop is offered to students starting at age 5* There is a beginner class offered as well as an advanced Hip Hop class.  Currently, Hip Hop classes are offered on Friday evenings.  The beginner class is 6:45 to 7;30 and the advanced class is 7:30 to 8:15.

Ages 7 to 9

Tap (buffalo, faster shuffles, shuffle ball change, slap ball change, heel slides, shuffle hop step), Ballet (pique turns, pencil turns, more focus on technique at the Ballet barre, more emphasis on strengthening the feet through extensive releve work) , Jazz (grand jete, split leaps, quicker floor work, traveling jazz combinations)

Ages 10 and up and 13 and up

Tap (more focus on syncopated rhythms, quicker timings, tap combinations across floor, toe stands, Ballet ( complex turns i.e. pique passe, soutenou, double turns, fouette, more intense study at the barre and across the floor), Pointe (typically age 10 and up), Jazz (more serious study of leaps, turns, quick transitional movements and complex staging, jumps, Lyrical (complex patterning combined with heavy focus on floorwork and various forms of timing and rhythms, portraying storylines and themes through music, swings, contractions)
